About the artistic director

JANET CARAFA is an internationally respected mime artist, educator, yoga master and author dedicated to revitalizing and expanding the legacy of American Mime. Janet believes that mime is full expression from the heart and yoga activates, energizes and revitalizes every system and cell of her body, mind and spirit.

As a longtime AMT performer, Janet trained extensively with Paul J. Curtis in New York and also studied with Marcel Marceau in Paris, giving her a unique mastery of both American and European traditions of mime.

Janet is also the creator of two unique Mime Workouts:

E-Motion Aerobics and The Float Technique.
