A hands-on learning experience delving into the art of physical comedy on a professional level. The course emphasizes classical and contemporary clown comedy routines, character development, slapstick and physical comedy, and explores the essence and spirit of clowning on a truly artistic level.
- — Movement, staging, and illusion mime is also covered.
- — Students will also work on juggling and balancing.

Mark Stolzenberg
Mark Stolzenberg came in fifth in the world in an international circus competition. He was a clown with Ringling Bros. B & B Circus and has toured the world as a clown and circus artist. He was the first American clown to perform on stage in China. His film, "My Father the Clown" was honored at THE LINCOLN CENTER DANCE ON FILM SERIES. Mark was the artistic director and star performer in NYC's Northwind Circus and he toured with his stage shows, "Pierrot and Pirouette" and "Circus Follies".
Mark made numerous featured performances as a clown and circus artist on LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN.
He was featured on the cover of NEW YORK MAGAZINE which called him "0ne of the hidden delights of NY's little theatres"
